Fall2016 LTOur vision statement calls us to “demonstrate God’s love in our neigh-bourhoods and the world.” In this issue of our Life Together, we’ll focus a little more on our broader community involvements and experiences, often called “beyond ourselves”.

The summer of 2016 offered a couple of “beyond ourselves” opportunities for some of us. The annual Assembly of Mennonite Church Canada was held in Saskatoon from July 6-10. Pastors Mark and Kevin along with Laura Carr-Pries and I attended and share some of our reflections in this issue. This assembly was another critical time for Mennonite Church Canada with several important decisions affecting our future. The next two years will also be important and I trust that God will continue to direct our leaders and all of us in these times of change.

Our youth attended a weekend festival called the Skylight Fesitval and share their experiences in this issue.
It’s important to be involved beyond our own congregation and these experiences enrich our own lives and help us grow our own faith as we share our faith with others and as we live out our faith together.
