Alpha Nkuranga will be sharing her story of escaping the 1994 Civil War in Rwanda. Alpha (age 8) and her brother (also age 8) fled their home in Rwanda and walked across three countries on foot in search of safety. She chronicled her journey in her book “Born to Walk”.
